Hoa Lu - Tam Coc

Hoa Lu - Tam Coc
Hoa Lu, situated 100km South of Hanoi, was the capital city of Viet Nam under the Dinh Dynasty between 968 and 1009 AD. Some of the sanctuaries and tombs are still remained through years.

Apart from the historical interest, the area is also one of astounding natural beauty with limestone peaks ( Tam Coc) whose splendor is said as much as Ha Long Bay. Some people and travel articles refers it as Halong Bay on land. Tam Coc, in English means “three caves” consists of 2 natural caves. To get here, it takes 2 – 3 hours excursion by wooden boat along the Ngo Dong river which flows along rice fields. Depending on seasons, you might see that the rice fields have beautiful fresh green or yellow.
